So i guess by default i am getting into auto cockers... I got a box of cocker parts, and a cocker today in the mail and another coming tomorrow. Plus the pump i already have. Just need to know is there some trick to getting the valve out... and do i really need to take it out PBf Feedback: can't really tell you if it leaks because the old hoses kept blowing off and then i cut one too short to hook everything back up..... but it seemed to hold air fine right before the hose blew. I just hate to get in about mid-game and the bastard start leaking... lmk if you have any cocker knowledge....once it is clean then i will worry about timing.

I want to say you have to pull the whole back half of the lower tube out to get the valve out & there is a nut that holds it in place. If the valve doesnt leak dont mess with it but if you want to make sure it dont, replace the oring on it. its a -012. I had to size one for my local field since they are gonna buy some off me.

well the gun came to me in pieces but i'm pretty sure the valve is in need of a good cleaning. The bottom tube coated in rust and the pin that runs through the valve doesn't move back and forth freely.... It's a mess. Now i just hope that it's not too rusted in there and froze up.

either WD-40 or diesel to soak it in.
Ive seen a completely locked up motor soak in diesl for a week & fire right up.

If its in a rough shape now, I think orings are needed period.

i've got one of the cockers up and ready to test. Not the one with rust in the body....but the other one. Thinking about looking at some junk stores this weekend and wither tryin to find a 3/8 threaded tube to make a pump. or a 9/32 allen wrench to make my own valve tool.
I will let you know how the cocker i fixed up today, goes... Hopefully i have timed it right and stopped all the leaks... guess we'll see.

little update since i've not posted in a long time: The black cocker is up and running. The red splash that i needed the valve tool for, is currently listed on mcb and pbn. I finally got a valve tool in a trade and was able to go in and replace rings and clean the valve.
