a used gen 1, 2, or 3 should be 250 or less. a gen 4 less than 350 a protege used for less than 450 and a vice used for less than 650. all timmys kick ass.

Gen 3. For an average price of about $300 you really can't go wrong. Not to mention, you don't necessarily need to upgrade them, they're very reliable in stock form. And they're a little lighter than the Gen 1+2, plus a little more compact.

you can buy a marq 6 off the nation for about 390-420 i believe. i may be incorrect. gen 4 timmies were the best imo but only if they are a custom build.

I dont see the point in buyig a marker you havent shot before only to tear it down & rebuild it with all new parts just to have a better marker. Ive shot an Alias (gen 3) & held several gen 1 -3s & 1 gen 4. Personally Im going to stick with 1 - 3. 4s look out of wack to me & gen 5...I dont know yet.

I love my gen 5. I need to spend some time over a chrono though my settings are wacked. its getting the same air usage as my very well tuned 98.

My Alias is costing me $200 shipped for the stock board or $250 shipped for the Tadao board. Sent 3 barrels for me to chose from. Ive seen Alias' in the past week or so going for $190 - $300+ depending on whats there as far as upgrades.
Gen 2s (2002) that Ive looked at run from low $100s to nearly $300, again depending on internals & which body & condition.
Gen 1s (Classic & Ripper 1) Well, the Rippers still pull alot for a 8 year old marker. I saw one sale for $600 something the other day somewhere. Classics can be had for under $150 but prolly 99% of people dont like the frames. I do & thats why Im rebuilding/restoring one.
Gen 4s just look like crap to me & Gen 5s, I would prolly hurt myself with one but look very nice.
