ok when most people ask questions about what barrel to get they are either told to get a kit or overbore your paint. DO NOT LISTEN TO OVERBORING. the best way to go about buying barrels is getting a few 1-piece barrels (such as custom products) and )get the different bores that you use, or you can buy a barrel kit. the most readily available would have to be the freak barrel systems. you can get a freak jr. kit for relatively cheap and it comes with 3 inserts.
if you always use the same paint then go with a 1 piece barrel that is the correct bore size. if you change paint often then use a barrel kit
the advantages in correctly boring your paint is: tighter shot grouping, better consistency, lower pressure (which equals better efficiency and less kick)
edit: lmk if i should change anything.

this is up in the air now but the consensus of the experts (Punkworks) is that under boring by .002-.005 is the way to go, better shot to shot consistency. Also it has been shown that no matter what bore size your barrel you have the same chance of a barrel break.
